About
Alan is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Gloucestershire in the School of Leisure teaching Events Management and Tourism Management.
A Chartered Geographer (CGeog) and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (FRGS), he is a Teacher Consultant to the Geographical Association and Vice-Chair of the Post-16 and Higher Education Committee. He is also a Fellow of the Tourism Society (FTS) and Fellow of The Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
Alan is on the editorial advisory board of the Journal of Hospitality, Leisure, Sport and Tourism Education (JoHLSTE) and on the editorial advisory board of the GA journal Geography.
