About
I completed my PhD in Media, Film and Communication Studies in 2012 (Gloucestershire). My thesis explores the intersection of gender, age and sexuality in modes of cinematic representation.
I am part of the Centre for Women, Ageing and Media (WAM), a research group consisting of scholars who are working together to explore a range of research themes focusing on older women and popular media forms (digital technologies, film, popular music and television).
Before joining WAM, I studied at the University of Lisbon, where I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages and Literature (English & German) in 2002 and completed a Master’s in Cultural Studies and Gender (2007).
