About

Dr De Ste Croix is faculty research director for Sport, Health and Social Care and his main research interests lie in paediatric exercise physiology. He has written 2 key chapters on muscle strength in leading paediatric physiology text books and published over 50 peer reviewed papers and abstracts. He has presented his work internationally at over 20 conferences including the European Congress of Sports Science and American College of Sports Medicine. He has worked as a consultant for Biodex International and the Texas Children’s Hospital. He is a guest referee for numerous international journals and is a BASES Accredited Sport and Exercise Sport Scientist for Physiology Research. He is also a member of the European Interdisciplinary Society for Clinical and Sports Application. Apart from paediatric muscle strength and endurance, Mark has also researched talent identification in elite junior rugby players and the biomechanics of the golf swing.
